Former MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy participated in an Adivasi rally at Yellandhu on World Adivasi Day. He criticized the BRS government for not fulfilling their promises to the people. During the celebration, he raised the traditional Adivasi flag, joined tribal dances and a rally with Zilla Parishad Chairman Koram Kanakaiah. He paid tribute to tribal leader Komaram Bheem by garlanding his statue in the town.

Ponguleti expressed disappointment with the BRS government for not providing 12.49 lakh acres of land to the tribals under the Podu Patta scheme and for not implementing Girijana Bandhu. He assured the people that if Congress comes to power in the upcoming elections, they will quickly address all the legal demands of the tribals. He visited Manikyaram and Polaram villages in Yellandhu and promised to fulfill the aspirations of the local people.
