Hyderabad: The State government is planning to introduce a new Revenue Act in 2024, according to Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy. He emphasized that this new law will be more supportive of farmers. The Minister mentioned that the new act will address the challenges people in Telangana have been facing since the implementation of the Dharani system under the previous government.
During a discussion on the draft of the New Revenue Law, where he was the chief guest, Minister Srinivas Reddy highlighted the current government’s commitment to improving the revenue system. Unlike the previous BRS government, he said, the present administration has a clear vision and considers revenue to be a top priority. The Minister also mentioned that the government is thinking about setting up revenue courts to strengthen the revenue system and better serve the needs of people in villages.
