SCR Conducts Review Meeting Focused on Train Safety

Hyderabad: The South Central Railway (SCR) held a review meeting on Monday to discuss the safety of train operations across its zone.

The main focus of the meeting was on ensuring the safety of trains. Railway officials were asked to increase field inspections, paying special attention to safety-related equipment such as signalling systems, engineering items, and station assets.

Arun Kumar Jain, the General Manager of SCR, highlighted the need for refresher courses at zonal training centres. He stressed that these courses should be regularly updated to improve safety. He specifically mentioned that loco pilots, assistant loco pilots, and station masters should receive these refresher courses to ensure safer train operations.

Towards the end of the meeting, it was decided to create an action plan to improve the punctuality of trains. Officials were encouraged to share their suggestions and ideas to help enhance the on-time performance of passenger and express trains.
