Hyderabad: Minister for Transport Ponnam Prabhakar criticized N Ramchander Rao, the newly appointed BJP Telangana president, for questioning the Congress government’s performance in Telangana.
Prabhakar disapproved of the BJP leader’s approach to addressing the State government on development issues. He argued that the BJP lacks the right to challenge the Congress government.
On Sunday, Prabhakar stated that since the BJP came to power nationally eleven years ago, it has consistently let down the people. He mentioned that the party has failed to meet key promises made in the last three elections, leaving many disappointed.
He accused the BJP government of making empty promises, spreading discord, and sharing false information. Prabhakar highlighted that the BJP has consistently failed groups like farmers, youth, women, the underprivileged, and minorities.
The Minister found it odd that the Telangana BJP President wrote to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy about development while the Union Government treats Telangana unfairly.
Prabhakar suggested that Ramchander Rao should direct his concerns to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and fulfill election promises, instead of targeting the Congress government, which formed only a year and a half ago. He described Rao’s actions as driven by bias.
