Hyderabad: The BC Welfare and Transport Minister, Ponnam Prabhakar, criticized the previous administration for neglecting slums and colonies in the city over the last ten years. He noted that only areas linked to the former government saw improvement, indicating biased development. On Friday, Minister Prabhakar, along with Minister Vivek Venkataswamy, Thummala Nageswara Rao, Hyderabad City Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi, and Hyderabad Collector Harichandana, started various projects in the Jubilee Hills constituency.

Minister Prabhakar announced that several development projects, funded with over Rs 5 crore, were initiated in Jubilee Hills. He assured that the area will see growth in all sectors. He credited Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for effective governance that addresses and solves public issues.

Prabhakar mentioned that issues like drinking water, roads, and drainage in Hyderabad are being tackled efficiently. Special plans are being made to create more job opportunities for the city’s youth. He urged residents to communicate any public issues to local authorities, representatives, or ministers.

During the event, a foundation stone was laid for CC roads in Harijan Basti and a Sports Park under the flyover, costing Rs 315.90 lakh in Shaikpet. Additionally, CC roads costing Rs 100.5 lakh were planned for Gurudwara Kaman in Vengal Rao Nagar, and CC roads near the Kamalapuri Association Community Hall in Yousufguda for Rs 95.75 lakh.
