Prepare for a cold winter as IMD Hyderabad predicts a cold wave

Hyderabad: People in Telangana should prepare for a severe cold wave as the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a warning for the state.

This warning is for several districts over the next few days.

The IMD has issued a yellow alert due to the expected cold wave. Fog and mist are likely in the state until December 17.

Weather expert T. Balaji predicts a strong cold wave from December 19 to 22. Night temperatures will rise slightly from December 16 to 18, but it will still feel very cold.

In Hyderabad, expect partly cloudy skies until December 17.

Yesterday, the lowest temperature in the state was 8.9 degrees Celsius in Kumuram Bheem district. Maredpally was the coldest in Hyderabad with a minimum of 13 degrees Celsius.

With colder weather expected, temperatures might drop more. Residents should plan their travel, especially in the mornings.
