Hyderabad: Police in Rachakonda uncovered a prostitution ring disguised as a spa business in Chengicherla. Officers from Medipally Police Station and the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) conducted a surprise raid at a place called Sugar Spa, located in RTC Colony.

They arrested the main accused, Pallavi, a woman from Amberpet, who was allegedly running the illegal operation. Along with her, one customer was also taken into custody during the raid.

Authorities rescued seven women who were reportedly being forced into prostitution. These women have now been shifted to a rehabilitation center, where they will receive care and support.

According to police, Pallavi was using the spa as a front for prostitution. She promised massage services but secretly offered illegal activities. She made large profits from customers while giving only a small share to the women involved.

Police said this incident highlights the growing misuse of spa centers in the city for illegal sex trade. Investigators are now working to uncover more people connected to this racket and are digging deeper into the network.

The case has raised concerns about the need for stricter checks on wellness centers and massage parlors in Hyderabad.
