Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress party, confidently stated that his party would win in Telangana. He said that they were able to weaken the BJP, who thought they would win the Assembly elections in the state.

During a public meeting called ‘Praja Bheri’ in Kalwakurthy, Rahul Gandhi expressed his belief that the BJP would only receive 2% of the votes in Telangana. He questioned how the saffron party could choose a Chief Minister from the OBC community. Rahul Gandhi said that the BJP’s leaders were overly confident, but his party was able to bring them down and now they are promising to make an OBC the CM. However, he doubted their ability to do so with such a low vote share.

He compared their claim of choosing a CM in Telangana to their claim of picking an American President. He urged them to stop making foolish statements and focus on fixing the issues within their party. He declared that after the Telangana elections, they would ensure that the BJP’s vehicle gets punctured all across India.
