Telangana Congress has set the schedule for launching a Bus Yatra in the state. The Bus Yatra will begin on October 18. AICC senior leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi will participate in the yatra in Jagtyal. During his visit to Telangana, Rahul Gandhi will also perform a special puja at Anjaneya Swamy temple in Kaondagattu.
The Congress Central Screening Committee Chairman, Muralidharan, announced that the committee has finalized 60 candidates for the party to contest in the upcoming Assembly elections. However, the party will announce all the candidates at once after October 15.
The decision on forming a pre-poll alliance with Left parties is still being considered. The party will decide on allocating seats to the left parties only after entering into a poll pact with the CPI and CPM parties.
