Hyderabad: Telangana Congress leader and PCC Working President Jagga Reddy praised Rahul Gandhi for his forgiving nature. He compared Rahul to someone who would calm a snake and let it go free, even if it came to bite him. In contrast, he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah would kill the snake, showing what he called their aggressive and vengeful mindset.
Jagga Reddy also questioned why the BJP never made senior leader LK Advani the Prime Minister, despite his important role in building the party. He pointed out that the Congress showed democratic values by choosing Dr. Manmohan Singh as Prime Minister for ten years, even though Sonia and Rahul Gandhi had the power to take the position themselves.
He went on to compare the two sets of leaders, saying the difference between Sonia-Rahul Gandhi and Modi-Amit Shah was like the difference between a jackal and a divine serpent.
Responding to BJP’s criticism over the National Herald case, Jagga Reddy defended Rahul Gandhi. He said the newspaper was born during the freedom struggle, long before Modi and Shah were even born. Its goal was to unite people and support the fight for independence.
Jagga Reddy also questioned the BJP’s role in India’s freedom movement. He accused BJP leaders of trying to tarnish the legacy of Congress leaders and misusing places linked to Jawaharlal Nehru’s life for political gain, instead of respecting their historical importance.
