The Meteorological Department has issued weather warnings for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana due to the expanded southwest monsoon, a surface circulation in the Bay of Bengal, and a trough’s effect. These regions will see moderate to heavy rain soon.
The Hyderabad Meteorological Centre predicts moderate rain, with thunder and lightning, in several Telangana districts on Friday and Saturday. During this time, strong winds between 40 to 50 km/h are also expected across all districts.
Today, areas in districts like Adilabad, Komarambhim, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagityala, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Warangal, Hanmakonda, Jangaon, Siddipet, Yadadri Bhuvanagiri, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, and Kamareddy might face moderate rain and storms.
Temperatures will vary, with Nalgonda hitting a high of 36.5°C and Mahabubnagar a low of 31°C on Friday.
In Andhra Pradesh, ongoing rains result from the southwest monsoon, surface circulation, and trough influence. The AP Disaster Management Organization states light rain may fall in districts like Alluri Seetharamaraju, Anakapalle, Kakinada, Konaseema, East Godavari, West Godavari, Eluru, Krishna, NTR, Guntur, Bapatla, and Palnadu.
People in both states should remain vigilant and take precautions during this severe weather.
