There has been a lot of damage after a cyclone hit Jhakau port in Gujarat. The NDRF and administration will have a difficult time with rehabilitation efforts. Karachi is the closest place to the port and about 80,000 people in Pakistan have been moved to safer locations.
These types of cyclones are not common in the Arabian Sea, but experts believe they are happening more frequently due to global warming and other environmental issues. Even the east coast of America is experiencing typhoons and cyclones that were not seen in the past.
