    Nagar Kurnool: On Wednesday, Special Officer Shivashankar Lotheti held a review meeting with senior officials involved in the rescue operations at the SLBC tunnel. The meeting took place at the Tunnel Inlet 1 office, located inside the SLBC tunnel.

    Lotheti said that rescue work inside the tunnel has been stepped up. A small train track, known as a loco train track, is being repaired to help remove soil from the tunnel. At the same time, teams are digging soil, cutting steel, and pumping out water in a well-organized manner.

    He also mentioned that several experts visited the accident site to study the situation. These included G C Naveen, a senior scientist from the National Institute of Rock Mines, Irrigation Department official Srinivasulu, and senior engineer Sanjay Kumar Singh.

    Lotheti added that as digging continues, the rescue teams are extending the conveyor belt and ventilation systems to support the work. He praised the teams for working day and night to carry out the rescue smoothly.

    The review meeting was attended by army officials, members of the JP Company, SDRF officer Giridhar Reddy, rescue workers from Singareni Mines, a Hydra officer, and officials from South Central Railway.
