Residents of Greater Hyderabad’s Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs) are working on creating a citizen’s manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha election. They want to address issues like RUB or ROB, rail lines, and more. The plan is to submit this manifesto to the State presidents of political parties.

The United Federation of Resident Welfare Associations (U-FERWAS) members are discussing key issues in their respective Parliamentary constituencies. They are also using a social media campaign to gather information. Once all the important issues are identified, they will be included in the citizen’s manifesto and presented to different parties and candidates. RWAs are also conducting a door-to-door awareness campaign and organizing activities like stage plays to encourage voting.

They plan to submit the citizen’s manifesto to party presidents and discuss issues with candidates for the Lok Sabha election. Syed Khaled Shah, a U-FERWAS member, highlighted the effectiveness of presenting a manifesto to candidates. They hope this effort will lead to positive outcomes like resolving sanitation issues. Additionally, they are helping locals register for the electoral roll after noticing missing votes in the last election.
