Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB) has announced plans to restore the Amberpet Bathukamma Kunta lake. They assured that no homes will be demolished during the process. The HMWS&SB Commissioner stated that the lake, which is spread over 5 acres and has 12 ponds, will be developed without displacing any residents.

The project aims to bring the lake back to its former glory in the next two months. The restoration efforts will focus on improving the lake’s ecosystem and its surrounding areas. This will benefit both the environment and the community. Local residents are excited about the project, as they have been waiting for a long time to see the historic water body revived. The lake is an important part of the Amberpet locality.
