In Hyderabad, State Cabinet ministers were given Land Cruiser vehicles for their official duties. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy already used Land Cruiser cars in his convoy. Before the 2023 Assembly elections, former chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao bought at least 10 cruiser cars.
The expensive vehicles in the CM’s convoy were sent to Vijayawada for interior upgrades and security enhancements. Each car costs over Rs 1 crore, with maintenance costs exceeding Rs 50,000. Spare parts are also pricey if any damage occurs. The maintenance of these Land Cruiser vehicles will be expensive for the ministers, but the government will cover the expenses.
