Hyderabad: The state plans to set up cow shelters for better cow protection. Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced that these shelters will be located at Veterinary University, Agriculture University, colleges, and temples. Officials need to find suitable lands.

During a meeting with top officials on Saturday, the Minister directed the formation of a committee to establish cow shelters. They must also create an action plan quickly.

The CM stressed the importance of designing cow shelters for easy management and protection. Each shelter will cover 50 acres, offering spacious grazing and roaming areas for the cattle.

Revanth Reddy asked officials to draft a detailed plan for modern cow shelters. He suggested exploring the involvement of charitable organizations for cow care and management.

The CM wants a complete budget for building and maintaining these shelters. He reviewed various designs for the shelters in MK Palli, Moinabad mandal, Rangareddy district and recommended some modifications.

Officials were told to finalize the shelter designs within four to five days.
