Mahabubnagar: Plans to set up a statue of late actor Superstar Krishna at the DEO Office Junction in Mahabubnagar have been paused. This decision followed a complaint by social activist Diddi Praveen Kumar from the Nenu Saitham group. Mahabubnagar Municipal Commissioner Maheshwar Reddy responded to the complaint and issued a notice to stop the statue installation.

    C. Ramesh Babu, who leads the Krishna Mahesh Fans Association in the district, initially tried to install the statue to honor the beloved actor. However, their plan faced strong opposition from social activists. The issue was brought to the Municipal Commissioner’s notice, who referred to Supreme Court guidelines on public installations. The commissioner then issued an order halting the statue’s erection, citing legal requirements that were not met.

Activist Diddi Praveen Kumar expressed approval of the official action. He highlighted that the statue proposal lacked necessary approvals and ignored current rules and Supreme Court directives. Praveen Kumar was pleased with the municipal intervention and assured that their legal efforts would persist until the statue is completely removed from the DEO Office Junction.

He called on the public to support their cause, stressing the need to follow the law. The Nenu Saitham group thanked the authorities for addressing their concerns and committed to promoting civic regulations, ensuring public spaces stay lawful and free from unauthorized structures.
