Telangana Congress leaders organized a protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. They are demanding the approval of the BC Reservation Bill. Led by Congress leader CM Revanth Reddy, they pledged to continue protesting until the bill is passed.
Reddy expressed his frustration, noting that although the Telangana Assembly approved the bill and sent it to the President, it still lacks approval. He insisted their fight for BC reservations would persist, with support from the India alliance to pressure the central government.
The Congress party sought a meeting with the President to discuss the bill, but their request was denied. Reddy accused the central government of ignoring the need for BC reservations.
He criticized the government’s inaction over four months, reaffirming the party’s commitment to their protest. Reddy clarified that the reservations aim to help weaker sections of society and not Muslims, accusing the BJP of blocking these measures under false pretenses of communal issues.
