Hyderabad: Revanth Reddy, the Chief Minister of Telangana, will begin his campaign for the upcoming Jubilee Hills by-election on October 31. The campaign will unfold in three phases, targeting two divisions each day.
In the evening, Reddy will join a road show in the Vengalrao Nagar area. The route will start from PJR Circle, moving towards Sai Baba Temple through Jawahar Nagar. There, he will also address a gathering at the temple’s premises.
Later, Reddy will speak at another meeting in the Yellareddyguda Market Area near Krishna Apartments in the Somajiguda division.
Meanwhile, the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has intensified its support for the Congress candidate in Jubilee Hills. AIMIM MLC Mirza Rahmath Baig recently led a padayatra in the Erragadda Division, asking residents to vote for Congress. Alongside Mirza Rahmath Baig, Yaser Arafat and other AIMIM leaders have been visiting predominantly Muslim areas to support the Congress.
AIMIM has opted not to run a candidate in the by-election, choosing instead to support the Congress candidate, B Naveen Yadav. Yadav had previously contested under AIMIM in 2014. AIMIM secured two seats in the 2020 GHMC elections in Erragadda and Jubilee Hills. The Jubilee Hills constituency has around 1.10 lakh minority voters.
