Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has urged officials to speed up acquiring land for the planned Future City.
During a review meeting with the Industries Department, he asked about the progress of securing land for the Future City, which will cover 30,000 acres. He emphasized the need to complete this quickly to start new projects.
Reddy mentioned that an integrated sports complex should be part of Future City. He insisted on hiring global sports architects to design a facility that includes sports like cricket, football, and golf.
The Chief Minister also checked on the progress of land acquisition for NIMZ (National Investment and Manufacturing Zone). He highlighted the need for more space for data centers and advised officials to persuade farmers to agree to land acquisition for industrial growth.
Reddy stressed that any industrialist visiting Telangana should be encouraged to invest in the state. He instructed the Cabinet Sub-committee on mega projects to meet every 15 days to discuss upcoming projects.
Officials informed him about plans for establishing Global Capability Centers in 2024 and the recent opening of 25 GCCs in 2025. He urged the creation of more such centers.
