    Popular filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma (RGV) surprised everyone by announcing his decision to enter politics. He revealed his intention to contest in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh, specifically from the Pithapuram constituency.

    In a tweet, RGV shared his sudden decision to run for office in Pithapuram. However, he did not provide any additional details at that time. This announcement came shortly after Jana Sena Party (JSP) president Pawan Kalyan declared his candidacy for the same seat.

    Last year, controversy surrounded RGV’s film Vyooham, which explored the politics of Andhra Pradesh. The movie caused uproar among local leaders who demanded his expulsion from the state. Vyooham focused on events related to the former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy’s passing.
