Asifabad: District Collector Venkatesh Dhotre urged officials to work together to reduce road accidents in the district.
He attended a Road Safety Committee meeting with SP Kantilal Subhash and other officials at the Collectorate to discuss safety measures.
The Collector emphasized the need for immediate repairs on roads and culverts. He also suggested placing signboards at accident-prone spots.
In Asifabad and Kagaznagar, traffic should flow smoothly. Programs should encourage motorists to wear seat belts and helmets, and those driving under the influence should face legal consequences.
On national highways, necessary safety measures should be implemented. Speed guns and a CC camera every kilometer were advised.
Radium stickers should be applied to electric poles along roads. Protective steps are needed on the Sirpur-Bejjur-Asifabad-Utnur roads to prevent accidents.
