Kothagudem: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka criticized the previous BRS government for not using Sub-Plan funds properly over ten years, which adversely affected Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in Telangana.
The Congress-led government has now set aside Rs.17,169 crore for tribal welfare this year. Additionally, Rs 1,296 crore left unspent from past years will also be used.
At a meeting in Palwancha, Khammam district, Bhatti spoke to Telangana Adivasi Congress workers. He encouraged leaders to share information about Sub-Plan schemes with all households.
Bhatti mentioned efforts to address tribal community needs by involving tribal leaders in training programs through the AICC.
He highlighted the allocation of Rs 1,000 crore for tribals under the Rajiv Yuva Vikasam Self-Employment Scheme, marking a national milestone.
The Indira Solar Tribal Development Scheme aims to support forest dwellers. Bhatti said this initiative involves cultivating 6.7 lakh acres with an investment of Rs 12,500 crore. The Nallamala Declaration was introduced to safeguard tribal rights and dignity.
Bhatti emphasized that dignity and equality thrive under Congress governance, with schemes supporting this vision. Welfare programs reach every household, and detailed information about these programs will soon be distributed.
He urged party leaders to share scheme details with every household and assist eligible individuals in applying.
