The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation held a training session on data analysis for RTC officials. The expert speaker, Sarath Katipalli, discussed the use of data science and machine learning in public transport systems. RTC transports around 55 lakh people daily, and by analyzing travel data, they can improve services in real-time.
Sarath emphasized the importance of message, messenger, mechanics, and machinery in taking the organization to a higher level. He shared his experience on providing satisfactory services to passengers while adapting to technological advancements. He highlighted the role of data science in strengthening the public transport system.
According to Sarath, data analysis can enhance RTC’s operational efficiency and provide better quality transport services based on people’s preferences. RTC MD VC Sajjanar mentioned that they are using data science to reach more people and provide faster services in both urban and rural areas. Data analysis is seen as crucial for corporate organizations and is essential for meeting people’s transportation needs.
