Sagar Defence Engineering Private Limited has announced a strategic investment in EndureAir Systems Pvt. Ltd., marking a significant step towards strengthening India’s indigenous aerial robotics capabilities. The investment was disclosed on February 3, 2026, as part of efforts to revolutionise the country’s defence landscape through autonomous and unmanned systems.
EndureAir Systems, an aerospace company born out of IIT Kanpur, specializes in developing indigenous aerial robotics for defence and advanced applications. The company was founded by Dr Abhishek, Rama Krishna, and Chirag Jain, who transformed cutting-edge research into practical, mission-ready aerial robotics systems designed for Indian operational ecosystems.
Sagar Defence Engineering was founded by Capt Nikunj Parashar, Mridul Babbar, Lakshay Dang, Ankit Kumar, and Saurabh Patil with the vision of transforming India’s defence sector through autonomous and unmanned technologies. The investment in EndureAir aligns with the company’s commitment to fostering India’s defence technology ecosystem by supporting teams that combine deep domain expertise with resilience.
Capt Nikunj Parashar, Founder of Sagar Defence Engineering, emphasized the significance of the partnership. “This investment is more than capital; it reflects our belief in a principle we hold deeply: built on courage, perseverance, and innovation, it epitomises this spirit,” he stated.
Dr Abhishek from EndureAir Systems described the collaboration as more than a business partnership. “The investment is beyond a business partnership, it’s a technological bridge to combine forces among the business and thought leaders from Sagar Defence Engineering with the technology and R&D talent pool of EndureAir. I foresee this partnership spiralling into something great for the Indian Defence Industry,” he mentioned.
The partnership will focus on advancing unmanned and autonomous systems, reinforcing domestic capabilities and contributing to national objectives such as self-reliance in defence technology. The collaboration aims to accelerate indigenous design, development, and deployment of advanced aerial robotics, reducing reliance on imports and strengthening India’s self-reliant defence ecosystem.
Sagar Defence Engineering specializes in developing unmanned and autonomous solutions for maritime surface, sub-surface, aerial and terrestrial security.
