Hyderabad: Salman Khan, the founder of Hyderabad Youth Courage (HYC), accused the Election Commission of rejecting his nomination for the Jubilee Hills by-election. He claimed the decision was influenced by the ruling Congress government.

Khan expressed his frustration on social media platform X, stating that his four nominations were dismissed without reason. He accused the returning officer of acting under government pressure.

In his official documents, Khan disclosed that his assets amounted to Rs 5,18,101. His wife reportedly has Rs 1,618 in her bank, Rs 20,000 in cash, and owns three tolas of gold. This declaration surprised many, especially amidst allegations of fund misappropriation, financial fraud, and misuse of charity funds.
