    Samagra Shiksha Employees' Protest Enters 20th Day in Gadwal

    The indefinite strike by Samagra Shiksha employees demanding regularization of their services marked its 20th day on December 29, 2024. In Jogulamba Gadwal district, the employees staged a unique protest by wearing hand chains and special hats with slogans like “Break the Chains, Regularize Samagra Shiksha Employees.”

    The protest saw participation from notable individuals, including Jamuna, a School Assistant from Boys High School, Gadwal, along with MD Yunus Pasha, Mohammed Basha, Shankar Naik, Lakshman from STU UTS, and others from various organizations like TPUS, TSGHMA, and PRTUTS. Public leaders such as MD Subhan and members of the Andhra Pradesh Samagra Shiksha Joint Action Committee (JAC) also extended their support.

    Adding a cultural touch to the protest, folk artist Raja Ramu Prakash from Wanaparthy, along with his team, performed songs and other traditional acts. Their participation energized the gathering and highlighted the employees’ demands in an engaging way.

    Special officers from Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs) across the district, including representatives from areas like Gattu, Gadwal, K.T. Doddi, and Dharur, actively joined the movement. Officers like Gunti Gopilatha, Sridevi, Padmavathi, and others played a significant role in supporting the strike.

    Additionally, district-level officials, including CRTs, PGTs, and non-teaching staff, backed the protest. Key figures like B. Ramanjaneyulu from the DPO Wing, Sridhar from the MIS Wing, and others from various wings like CCO, CRP, and PTI, contributed to the ongoing strike.

    Leadership from the JAC also played a central role in rallying support. District president Hushanappa, general secretary Gopal, and KGBV women’s wing president SP Pranitha were among those who helped organize the protest and keep the momentum alive.

    The employees are demanding the fulfillment of a promise made by Chief Minister Shri Enumala Revanth Reddy to regularize their services. Until then, they are urging the government to implement a proper pay scale for all Samagra Shiksha employees.

    With an increasing number of participants and widespread support, the protest underscores the urgency of resolving the grievances of Samagra Shiksha employees. The movement continues to grow stronger as employees fight for their rights.
