    In an interview with anchor Suma, actor Samantha spoke about her upcoming film Shaakuntalam, directed by filmmaker Guna Shekar and produced by Guna Neelima and Sri Venkateswara Productions. The film is a period drama adapted from Kalidasa’s classic Abhignana Shaakuntalam. Samantha shared that although the story is centuries old, she connects with it as a contemporary woman because some emotions are timeless. She also mentioned that the forest-set, animals, and post-production work resemble a Disney film, which she loves.

    Allu Arjun’s daughter Allu Arha makes her debut in the film, playing the role of Bharata. Samantha praised Arha, calling her a “born superstar” who fearlessly delivered her dialogues well amidst many junior artists. Samantha expressed her happiness about everyone on the cast and crew giving their 100% to the film.
