The Banjara Hills police have filed a case against former BRS MP Joginipally Santosh Kumar for cheating and forgery related to land grabbing. The complaint was made by Chinta Madhav of Navayuga Engineering Company Limited (NECL), who alleged trespass, conspiracy, and forgery in connection to the company’s land in Banjara Hills.
According to the company’s representatives, they purchased a 1,350 sq yd plot on Banjara Hills Road No 14 in 2010. They also have a statement of encumbrance on the property in Sy No 129/54 on the same road. However, they were surprised to discover that construction had taken place nearby with two rooms.
Upon further investigation, it was revealed that individuals paying tax on the property were Santosh Kumar and Linga Sridhar Reddy, using fabricated door numbers. The NECL accused these trespassers of creating fake documents to unlawfully claim the land.
The Banjara Hills police have registered a case against Linga Reddy and Santosh Kumar under Sections 420, 468, 471, 447, and 120 B for cheating, forgery, forging documents, criminal trespass, and criminal conspiracy. An investigation into the matter has been initiated by the authorities.
