The Telangana state government announced new appointments on Tuesday. Sarfaraz Ahmad, an IAS officer from the 2009 batch, is now the Managing Director with additional responsibilities at Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited. He takes over from NVS Reddy. Sarfaraz will also remain the Metropolitan Commissioner of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA). Meanwhile, NVS Reddy will serve as the state’s urban transport adviser for the next two years.
Shruti Ojha, an IAS officer from the 2013 batch, is now the Director of the Women, Children, Disabled, and Senior Citizens department after her study leave. She takes over from Srijana G, who was handling the role as an additional charge.
Krishna Aditya S, an IAS officer from 2014, who is the Director of Intermediate Education, will also serve as the Secretary of the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society. This change relieves K Seetha Lakshmi, an IAS officer from the 2018 batch, from her additional charge responsibilities.
Kota Sreevatsa, an IAS officer from 2017, has been appointed as the Joint Metropolitan Commissioner of HMDA in general matters. He will also take on additional duties as Secretary of HMDA, replacing R Upender Reddy.
