Gadwal: Congress leader Sarithamma, who is also the former Zilla Parishad Chairperson and in-charge of the Gadwal Constituency, paid tribute to Babu Jagjivan Ram on the occasion of his birth anniversary. She praised him as an inspirational leader and a strong voice for the marginalized.
The event was held near the Area Hospital in Jogulamba Gadwal and was organized by the Scheduled Castes Development Festival Committee. As part of the celebrations, floral tributes were offered to honor Babu Jagjivan Ram’s memory.
Sarithamma was joined by other Congress members, including former Municipal Chairman B.S. Keshav and TPCC leader Ganjipet Shankar. Together, they placed garlands on the statue of Jagjivan Ram and remembered his contributions to the country.
During her speech, Sarithamma highlighted Jagjivan Ram’s lifelong efforts to uplift the weaker sections of society. She called him a symbol of social justice and praised his work as a freedom fighter, Parliamentarian, and Union Minister.
The event saw participation from several senior Congress leaders, former public representatives, and party members from Gadwal and nearby areas. The tribute ceremony served as a heartfelt reminder of Babu Jagjivan Ram’s legacy and his role in promoting equality and justice in India.
