Bhoodan Pochampally: The special silk clothes made for the divine wedding of Lord Rama and Goddess Sita at the Bhadradri temple are now ready.
These clothes were made by skilled handloom weavers under the guidance of SS Jayaraj. The artisans — Kadaveru Chandrasekhar, Aadepu Anjaneyulu, Injamoori Yadagiri, and Dornala Srinath — worked with great dedication for nine days. They used traditional looms at the Bhakta Ramadasu Meditation Center in Bhadrachalam.
They created two beautiful Ikkat sarees for Goddess Sita. The sarees have red borders and a lemon-yellow body, and they will be used for the wedding and coronation ceremonies.
In addition, six silk dhotis with zari pet designs in white and cream were woven for Lord Rama, Lakshmana, and Lord Hanuman. These special garments have been handed over to the temple’s Executive Officer, Ramadevi.
