Mahabubnagar: Jadcherla MLA Janampally Anirudh Reddy has warned Mission Bhagiratha officials to take their responsibilities seriously. He said if they continue to neglect their duties in supplying drinking water, strict action will be taken. He also mentioned that some officials have not changed their behavior despite earlier warnings. If needed, they will be removed and replaced.
In a statement to the media on Saturday, the MLA emphasized the importance of providing uninterrupted drinking water during the summer. He said that several people have already complained about the poor performance of some watermen.
According to the MLA, some watermen are not releasing water on time or are not supplying it for long enough. This is causing problems for residents in several villages. In some cases, less water is being given to the people while more is being sent to industries. Most of these complaints are coming from the Balanagar and Jadcherla mandals.
Anirudh Reddy said he has avoided taking action so far out of concern for the workers. However, with the summer heat rising, he warned that he would not allow people to suffer because of careless watermen.
He urged all watermen to do their jobs properly and make sure water reaches everyone on time. He also asked the public to report any water supply issues to his camp office in Jadcherla.
Finally, the MLA requested Mission Bhagiratha officials to closely monitor water supply and keep track of how well the watermen are doing their work. This, he said, would help prevent more problems in the future.
