A private school bus travelling from Hyderabad to Moinabad met with an accident on Wednesday, January 28, after it reportedly hit a road divider near Mrugavani National Park. The bus overturned following the impact, causing panic among passengers and commuters in the area.
According to preliminary information, 16 people sustained minor injuries in the incident. Most of the injured were students and staff travelling in the bus. Emergency services rushed to the spot soon after the accident, and the injured were shifted to nearby hospitals for medical treatment. Officials confirmed that none of the injuries were life-threatening.
Police sources said the accident may have occurred due to loss of control while negotiating the stretch near the divider, though the exact cause is still under investigation. Traffic movement was temporarily disrupted on the route as the overturned bus was cleared and normalcy restored.
Local authorities have initiated an inquiry into the incident and are examining whether factors such as speeding, road conditions, or mechanical issues contributed to the accident. Further details are awaited as the investigation progresses.
