Kargil Vijay Diwas was observed on 26th July at our school to honor the courageous soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces. This day marks India’s victory in the 1999 Kargil War and was celebrated with great respect and patriotism.
An impressive 8.5-foot model of the Martyr’s Memorial was displayed, featuring the names of 533 Kargil martyrs. This served as a poignant reminder of the sacrifices made by these soldiers.
The ceremony started with a wreath-laying by our Director, Ms. Prarthana Manikonda. Students and staff followed with floral tributes. Students from eight nearby schools also participated, enhancing the sense of unity and patriotism. In her impactful speech, Director Ma’am inspired everyone by saying, “Each name on this memorial represents a heartbeat of courage for our nation. We owe them our respect and freedom.”
Students from Grades 3, 7, and 8 engaged in poster-making activities showcasing the ranks and insignia of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. Grades 7 and 8 students delivered heartfelt speeches, expressing gratitude for the bravery of our armed forces.
The event was attended by Correspondent Mr. Katta Prabhakar, Dean Ms. Ramanjula, and Principals Ms. Rekha Rao and Ms. Fatima Kazim, adding significance to the day.
Special thanks were given to Ms. Yogitha Bandaru for her excellent coordination, and to Ms. Sabera and Mr. Kalyan from the Art Department for their creativity in designing the memorial.
Kargil Vijay Diwas was more than a tribute; it was a moment to reflect and inspire, instilling the values of bravery, sacrifice, and national pride in students to carry forward.
