    The District Collector in Rangareddy held a meeting with political party representatives ahead of the Mahabubnagar MLC by-elections. The meeting took place at the District Collectorate in Kongarakalan.

    The Central Election Commission released the schedule for the MLC by-election on February 26. The Model Code of Conduct (MCC) went into effect the same day, with the notification set to be released on March 4. The MCC applies to eight districts, including Mahabubnagar, within the jurisdiction of the Mahabubnagar Local Bodies Constituency Legislative Council.

    The election schedule includes a notification on March 4, nominations due by March 11, scrutiny on March 12, and withdrawal by March 14. Polling will take place on March 28 from 8 am to 4 pm, with vote counting on April 2. The entire election process will wrap up by April 4.

    There are 171 voters in the 10 mandals of the MLC constituency. A polling station will be set up in the Mandal Praja Parishad Office at Shadnagar. Measures like flying squads and surveillance teams have been established, with responsibilities assigned to officials and staff. MCCs will remain in place until the by-elections are over.

    Political party representatives were urged to cooperate with officials for a fair election. A toll-free number will be available for issues related to election arrangements. Representatives from parties like Congress and BRS, along with election officials, attended the meeting.
