Seminar held by pharmacovigilance center aims to raise awareness on improving patient safety

In Rangareddy, the Peripheral Pharmacovigilance Centre for Unani Drugs (PPVC) organized a seminar at Government Nizamia Tibbi College in Charminar to raise awareness about patient safety. The seminar aimed to educate people about the importance of pharmacovigilance in the Unani system of medicine.

The event was attended by various officials including Dr. J Vasanth Rao from the department of Ayush, Dr. Waseem-ur-Rahman from the Income-Tax department, Prof. Shahzadi Sultana, and Dr. Younis Iftekhar Munshi from the National Research Institute of Unani Medicine (NRIUM). Dr. Galib from AIIA, New Delhi also spoke about the significance of pharmacovigilance.

Prof. Mohd. Aleemuddin Quamri from IPVC-NIUM in Bengaluru discussed the aims and objectives of Pharmacovigilance of ASU & H Drugs. Dr. Ashfaque Ahmed from NIIMH in Hyderabad gave a lecture on the Unani concept of pharmacovigilance. Dr. Mohd Kashif Hussain from NRIUM-SD in Hyderabad talked about botanical identification of Ayush-Unani Drugs.
