Hyderabad: Over 900 people were caught by the Hyderabad police SHE Teams for inappropriate behavior during the visit to Khairatabad Bada Ganesh.
Among these, 55 men were directly observed behaving indecently towards women in public. Most offenders received counseling and a firm warning, but some face court appearances. The SHE Teams worked tirelessly to protect women during the festival. They caught the offenders in the act, using video and photo evidence. The police plan to register petty cases and present the evidence to a magistrate.
SHE Team leader Lavanya encouraged women to call 100 if they experience harassment. She stated, “Harassment won’t be tolerated, and offenders will face strict action.” The SHE Teams are dedicated to ensuring women’s safety and a secure environment for everyone.
