A special event was held at Shiva Shivani English Medium High School in Shantinagar on Saturday to launch a free education scheme for selected students. The program will provide education from 1st to 10th grade for a few deserving students each year.
The Mandal Education Officer (MEO), Mr. Narasimhulu, along with several leaders from the Telangana Recognised School Managements Association (TRASMA), attended the event. Out of all the applications received, four students were chosen through a draw conducted in the presence of the MEO. The selected students were Pallavi from Gokulapadu, Praneetha from Valluru, Adyapriya from Paipadu, and Jhansi Rani from Neelipalli. This was announced by the school’s correspondent, Eshwari G.S., and Principal, Shyamsundar G.S.
The event was also attended by other notable figures, including TRASMA President Beechupalli, District President Babu Naidu, General Secretary Moin Basha, District Treasurer Ramesh, Alampur Taluk Private Schools President Krishna, and retired Headmaster, MPP S. Vijayasarathi Reddy from Shantinagar.
During his speech, MEO Narasimhulu praised the school’s management for organizing this noble initiative. He emphasized that providing education is one of the greatest gifts one can give. He also commended the school for implementing the free education scheme, which will benefit four students each year. He pointed out that the cost of such an education could amount to lakhs, making this effort truly commendable.
After the announcement, the school management provided uniforms, ID cards, and other essentials to the selected students in the presence of the chief guests. MEO Narasimhulu encouraged other schools in the district to follow the example set by Shiva Shivani High School and introduce similar programs to support underprivileged students.
He concluded by appreciating the dedication of the school’s teachers, noting that the students’ ability to speak English confidently and fluently was particularly impressive. The event was well-attended by parents from various villages, district TRASMA members, and teachers, showing strong community support for the initiative.
