The Special Investigation Team (SIT) is preparing to issue a formal notice to former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) in connection with the ongoing phone tapping case. The SIT is now moving forward to summon the former chief minister to appear before the investigation team.

The case is based on an FIR filed in March 2024, which alleges illegal surveillance activities conducted by officials of the State Intelligence Bureau (SIB) during the BRS regime. Several high-ranking officials and political leaders have been brought in for questioning as part of the probe into these allegations.
