Hyderabad: As part of the ongoing drive to stop the illegal use of electric motors to draw water, Water Board vigilance officials carried out an inspection in Narayanguda. During the inspection, they found and seized six illegal motors that were connected to the water pipeline.

Officials said that regular checks are being done to catch people who are using electric motors to take water directly from the Water Board’s pipelines. On Thursday, residents from the Pardagate area in O&M Division No. 5 informed the Water Board via WhatsApp that motors were being used illegally in an apartment.

In response, officials visited the apartment during water supply hours. They found that each of the six floors had one motor connected, used to pull more water. All six motors were seized on the spot.

Officials are urging residents not to attach any motors to water lines. If there are issues like low water pressure or other supply problems, people are encouraged to contact their local manager, DGM, or GM. They can also call the Water Board’s customer care number at 155313. The Board promises to take proper action and fix any issues.
