In Hyderabad, all sheep, goat, and cattle slaughterhouses, as well as meat and beef shops, will be closed on April 21 for Mahavir Jayanti. This decision applies to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits. GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose has instructed officials to enforce this order in their areas.
Mahavir Jayanti is an important festival in Jainism that celebrates the birth of Mahavira. To honor this occasion, all meat and beef shops, including cattle slaughterhouses, will be closed in Hyderabad on Sunday.
