The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewage Board (HMWSSB) will be launching slit carting vehicles as a part of the Dalitha Bandhu Scheme. The beneficiaries of this scheme will receive the vehicle keys on October 2.
A total of 162 beneficiaries from Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Medchal, Malkajgiri, and Sangareddy districts will be given these vehicles. The selection process was carried out by the Collectors of the respective districts with the approval of the MLAs.
The main purpose of this scheme is to provide livelihood opportunities to Dalit families and also to maintain cleanliness in the city.
