Hyderabad: On the 25th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Lulu Hyderabad celebrated with an event called Lulu Vijayotsavam in collaboration with the Indian Army. To mark this important day, Lulu Hyderabad is hosting a three-day arms and ammunition exhibition. This exhibition is open to school students and the general public and will run until July 28.
Lieutenant General Kammula R Rao (Retd) spoke at the event. He explained the efforts of the Indian Armed Forces during the Kargil battle. He highlighted that their main goal was to remove the infiltrators from Pakistan and protect the country without escalating the conflict into a full-scale war.
Colonel VV Rao (Retd) also paid tribute to the bravery and dedication of the Indian Army. He provided insights into the history of the Kargil war, explaining why and how it started and the strategies used by Pakistan.
Additionally, Indian Air Force Group Captain PR Prasad (Retd) discussed the crucial role of the IAF in securing victory in the challenging terrain of Kargil. He spoke about the difficulties of flying over high-altitude areas.
