Speed up land purchase for road projects, Sridhar Babu tells officials

Hyderabad: Infrastructure upgrades in Ranga Reddy district are moving forward with urgency. Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu led a key meeting on Friday at the Secretariat to speed up acquiring forest land for big road projects.

The focus was on two main projects: a six-lane road from Bachupally to Gandimaisamma, and a route linking Bahadurpally through Dulapally to Kompally. Sridhar Babu instructed officials to fast-track the land acquisition process. He emphasized completing all required steps quickly to start construction in early September.

Key figures like Chief Principal Conservator of Forests Suvarna, HMDA Commissioner Sarfaraz Nawaz, and top officials from GHMC and Kompally Municipality attended the meeting.

Nineteen acres of forest land are set for transfer. The Minister ordered all initial handover tasks to be finished by the deadline. He stressed handling private land acquisition with care and ensuring compensation funds are ready.

Forest officials reported that Stage-1 clearance for the Bahadurpally–Kompally road has been approved. The Bachupally–Gandimaisamma route’s clearance is almost done.

Sridhar Babu also urged quick action on projects like the Subhash Nagar pipeline and St. Ann’s School access road. He told revenue and municipal teams to prioritize these tasks.

These road improvements will benefit residents in eight legislative areas, boosting regional connectivity and making travel easier for many citizens.
