Hyderabad: T Jagga Reddy, the working president of Telangana PCC, spoke on Friday about the differences in governance between Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and KCR. He stated that the current government is focused on serving the people, unlike KCR’s previous ten years, which he described as “farmhouse governance.”
Speaking at Gandhi Bhavan, Reddy highlighted that the Chief Minister and his ministers are actively visiting Delhi to secure funds for Telangana, a move KCR never made as he avoided engaging with the central government. Reddy commented on the BRS leaders’ nervousness, asserting that there is no need to spy on them. “If we want to counter them, we’ll do it politically,” he said, accusing KCR of being afraid to face Revanth Reddy, which is why he avoids the Assembly. He described Harish Rao as acting like a big actor, while praising Uttam Kumar Reddy as a genuine fighter and former fighter pilot.
Reddy also criticized the BRS for questioning Revanth’s commitment to Telangana despite having removed “Telangana” from their party name. He pointed out that people remember KCR’s tenure as CM, during which he stayed away from the Secretariat and avoided the public and the Centre. Now, BRS leaders are in shock after losing their luxuries.
The PCC working president emphasized that the current government is focused on securing central funds, fulfilling their duties as elected leaders. He accused BRS leaders of resting in farmhouses instead of serving the people. He reminded them that during their rule, the public was unaware of the Secretariat’s location and accused KCR of secretly meeting with Jagan and Lokesh under BJP’s guidance.
Reddy advised KTR not to question Revanth about “Jai Telangana” when the BRS removed “Telangana” from their own name. He described Harish Rao as a good actor but praised Uttam as a real fighter. He noted that KCR was a TDP MLA three times, even serving as a minister and Deputy Speaker before Revanth entered politics. He challenged the claim that Revanth follows Chandrababu, pointing out that KCR’s own father was part of Chandrababu’s Cabinet. Reddy concluded by asserting that Congress is delivering people-centric governance, unlike KCR’s farmhouse politics.
