    Hyderabad: On April 7, 2025, Sphoorthy Engineering College’s NCC unit held a special event to celebrate World Health Day. As part of the celebration, they organized a tree plantation drive and a Yoga and Fitness session. The event aimed to encourage good health and well-being among students and the community. The theme for World Health Day 2025 was “Healthy Beginnings and Hopeful Futures.”

    The event saw active participation from 45 cadets, students, and staff members. Secretary and Correspondent Shri S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, department heads, and CTO Bhagath also took part. During the event, the cadets planted trees and joined in the yoga session enthusiastically.

    Shri Jagan Mohan Reddy spoke about how important health is in today’s busy world. He said that good health cannot be bought, no matter how much money one earns. He encouraged students and cadets to spend at least two hours every day focusing on their health and fitness.

    The event ended with a yoga session led by Assistant Professor Yellamanda, who guided the cadets through different yoga exercises.
