Sridevi Women’s Engineering College (SWEC) held an Orientation Day for new B.Tech students on August 21, 2025. Ms. Pratyusha Sharma, HR Head of Invesco Pvt. Ltd., officially opened the event, joined by Dr. K. RadhaKishan Rao, Vice Chairman of SWEC.
Ms. Sharma encouraged students to boost their self-confidence, gain knowledge, and network. She advised them to read widely, connect with others, and find role models to inspire them.
Dr. T. Ravinder Reddy, an advisor, stressed the importance of critical thinking, project-based learning, and internships. He urged students to learn through experiences and develop their skills.
Principal Dr. A. Narmada reminded students to follow academic rules, maintain good attendance, and focus on skill-building from the start to create a solid future.
The program included talks by Prof. K. Tulasiram, Controller of Examinations, and Mr. M. Harshavardhan, Training Head. They offered guidance on academics, exams, training, and job placements. Each department will have induction sessions next week.
The college staff, including Deans and Faculty, warmly welcomed the students, wishing them success and a promising career.
