Legislative Affairs Minister D Sridhar Babu has claimed that the BRS (name not defined) has recognized the futility of wasting public money after the release and discussion of the “White Paper.” Babu clarified that the purpose of the White Paper was not to offend anyone.

In a press conference, Babu emphasized that the government’s intention was to inform the public of the facts and ensure that the promises made in the manifesto were fulfilled. He stated that the White Paper exposed the misdeeds and misuse of public funds by the BRS during their rule.

According to Babu, the previous government burdened each individual with a debt of over Rs seven lakh. He accused BRS MLAs of being unable to answer questions about their education policy and failed promises, such as providing three acres of land to SC and ST communities.

Regarding allegations of incorrect figures in the White Paper, Babu stated that while specific dates were not provided for the expenditure, the information presented in the document was factually correct and had been shared with sitting legislators with permission from the Speaker.
